Downward, downward
Through depths of despair
Arriving at the divine mother
I surrender at her feet
Holder of the universe in her womb
Unknown to many and long forgotten
Sovereign ruler who will not be contained
Perpetually fragmented, omnipresent
In diverse constant existences
I become the swirling multi faced prism
In ever-present flux
Dying the many deaths that life may offer
From the cosmic center nine triangles emerge
At the shrines
Where a sacred tree grows
Where the spider’s fangs pierce the elephant
Who collapses, drowning both
Goddess of broken hearts and shattered souls
Who blesses the barren with offspring
Decaying, transforming, becoming
My consciousness is all-pervading
May her light connect the gaps between the shards
I celebrate every wound
I submit to the primordial beast
With sharp teeth and formidable jaws
I find clarity in disorientation
Astride its back I ascend
It carries me over the waters
Riding waves of pain in power
Leading to the true essence
