peer through the eye for endless insight

and, i was supposed to be mantic
so damn different from the frantic
but my emotional supports are failing
my next option;
philanthropic?
change the topic, failing fledgling
enter this space and travel so far
hearts and spite, stars and light, embark
dim light, gargantuan fright

i’d always tried to ensconce myself
but i might be untethered, altogether, on forever
my aperture may just be blocked
like a persistent pupillary membrane
so i’ll strap on this vest
a tunic so durable
to fight off the remnants
and attain vision at its best
someday soon
i’ll have corrected this detrimental acuity
then, we can carry on the burdens that have not yet been addressed
so, we’ll fight
and fight on
