In the fathomless depths of death by sleep
The hellscape at the surface chimes distantly
From unconsciousness, a lulling prayer murmurs forth
O’Yah, let me not ascend from this dreamy submersion
Yet, thy will be done
I ask you this, deem this muted behest notable to thine ear
Divide my soul from its marrow, before the ritualistic summoning
I can’t bide to another illumination of the returning reality
Cancerous frailty has metastasized to the bones of my fortitude

When shall I arise to the glorified transfiguration
When shall a new paradigm grace my field of vision
