The face of hatred
The weeping mothers
The scores of children
The hands of death
Forced into exile and torn from their shelter
Subjected to face the death of their own kind
Stripped of their culture, their heritage, their identity
Forced to endure the torment, the pain
The plague of death to encompass all
Murderous men enforce their will
Disease and blood, their tools of trade
Forced to embark on the trail of tears
Forced to endure the harsh nature of man
Children ripped from the clutch of their mothers
Heritage slain, languages decimated
Innocent souls robbed of their pure nature
Mass graves mark the sins of our founders
Buried beneath the earth, the souls of the damned cry out
“Bring us home; restore peace to our families”
A violent past white washed by the oppressors
To cover up the genocide of an entire people
