Memories of the future
Crawl from the depths of my dreams
Sorrowfilled, I await my final escape
Painful, I see it’s image as though I’m awake
The oak trees are aflame
The River has run dry
The sky, the impenetrable Grey
I know this is the day that I will die
The clouds, they come to me, across the sea
Bringing death, the final rest, in their vigil
I can see, the end of time, Armageddon
I am among the last ones
No longer trying to flee
I greet the Grey with open arms
Swept inside, I die with pride
I’ve achieved more than most others
Once internal, I can reflect upon my attainments
This swath of frigid air is a reminded
(That) The only victory is nothingness
So, this is Death
This is what I’ve awaited all my life
The storm has shown me the way
Looking around, the Grey has turned into Black
The nothingness, closes, and I can see
Unconsciousness approaches, I lay down
The battle, glorious, has left no survivors
And the Grey has let victory unto itself.
