When the pale dawn comes
The night veil will fall
The glitter of silver stars will fade
The oval of the moon will disappear
The first rays of the sun
Will point to the smoking ruins
As hundred years ago, so today
A hail of steel crumbles the walls

Gray shadows in the distance
Night visions go away
People come out of hiding
Another night – day – week – year
Still in lead hail
At last the pale dawn will reveal
Broken positions of the red ones
